How this works
Every document completed on SignEdge gets a fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash): a code that changes completely if anything in the file changes, even a single character. We keep the fingerprint of each finished document. When you drop a file here, your browser calculates its fingerprint and we check whether it matches one we sealed.
A match tells you the file is unchanged since signing. It doesn’t tell you who someone is, so the signer names come from the activity trail inside the document.
